How to Use the Sudoku Excel Solver
To start, make sure macros are enabled when you open the file. If not, Excel may block the app.

Once macros are enabled, using the app is very simple. Follow the sections below to learn each feature.

Create a fresh Sudoku grid whenever you want.
- Click on the New Grid button
- Select your difficulty: Easy, Medium, or Hard
- Wait a few seconds for the puzzle to appear
🔁 Reset Grid
The Reset button clears all your filled numbers and brings back the original puzzle.
💡 Hint
Need help? Click the Hint button to fill in one more number in the grid.
✅ Check Error
This button helps you check if your grid contains mistakes.
- Click Check Error
- Wrong numbers will turn red
- A message will ask if you want to delete those errors
🧼 Empty Grid
This button gives you a blank grid with 81 cells.
It's perfect if you want to enter a puzzle from a newspaper or a book and solve it using Sudoku Excel.
