Using Excel from a mobile device seems like a bit of a joke, but after using it, it is easy to get caught up in the game. Of course, we will never create great worksheets like we can with Excel desktop. But opening its files from any location (street, subway, bus) is very interesting.

It's easy to locate the active cell on a mobile. Like on Excel desktop, the cell edges are wider but there is more.

  1. You have 2 circles to extend the selection and select more than one cell
  2. You have an extra border at the bottom of the cell. It's the fill handle 😲

Like in Excel mobile, you can open different tabs from the ribbon.

  2. Call the functions library
  3. The most useful tool (card, fill down, filter, change color, ...)

Navigation in a worksheet

  • On a phone, moving into a spreadsheet is simply by sliding your finger on the screen.
  • Similarly, to zoom in or zoom out, simply apply two fingers on the screen as you move closer or further away. This is the same principle as a photo or a map.

In addition, you can view your spreadsheet horizontally or vertically by changing the orientation of your mobile.
