How to Remove All Filters in Excel in one click?

Do you know you can remove all the filters of your table in one click? Let's see how in this article.

How to know if a column is filtered?

You can easily identify filtered columns when you see this icon

But, if your document has many columns, finding this symbol in the header is not easy. Have you noticed in the previous picture that there are 2 columns with the filter activated 😉

Remove the filter in only one column

Removing the filter for a column is very simple

  1. Click on the filter arrow of your column
  2. Select the option Clear Filter From the Column name

But, when there are many columns filtered, it's difficult to locate all of them. In this situation, it's better to remove all the filters. And you can do that with the menu Data > Sort & Filter > Clear

Another technique is to use the shortcuts Ctrl + Shift + L to clear (or add) the filter options of all the columns.
